Interactive Web ServicesOur West campus Web servers support interactive, dynamic Web services including CGI scripting, and Web-database connectivity using a variety of tools (see below). The DevWeb server is used for testing and development and is a mirrored copy of the Westinfo production server. Security is offered on both of these servers with secure transmissions using SSL encryption (128-bit) and individual developer tool security options. Web directories located on the DevWeb development server are not searchable. See the "Web folders" entries on the list of available files shares for server address information. supported Products and EnvironmentInterpreted languages and scripts:

Developer GuidelinesYou must develop and test your Web pages on the DevWeb server and publish them (move them) to the Westinfo server only when they are error-free. Do not make changes directly to modules on Westinfo. Any changes you make to an already operational module must also be completely tested before you place them on Westinfo. If your module, program, script or database connection fails and crashes or otherwise disables Westinfo or DevWeb, the services for that module may be temporarily shut down until you make corrections and retest on DevWeb. IT staff are not available to code or debug your scripts or programs and we are not able to offer training on interactive tools at this time. |
