CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Due March 24, 2003

The Asian American Psychological Association (AAPA) invites submissions of proposals for symposia, poster sessions, Continuing Education sessions and interactive sessions at the AAPA 2003 Annual Convention to be held at Victoria University in the the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Wednesday, August 6, 2003. The theme for this year is "Asian American Psychology: Bridging Research & Theory with Practice & Policy."

Submissions from persons at all levels of training (post-doctoral, graduate level, and undergraduate level) and proposals from non-psychologists who are interested in psychological issues affecting Asian Americans are encouraged. All post-doctoral presenters are encouraged to submit their proposal as CE programs.

All proposals addressing issues related to Asian American psychological issues will be considered. Special attention will be given to proposals that are related to the Convention theme. In particular, proposals addressing interdisciplinary collaboration and connections between theory, research, practice, and policy topics are particularly sought. Furthermore, proposals related to translational research (i.e., translating research into practice) in Asian American psychology are also sought. All areas of psychology and disciplines related to psychological issues are encouraged. Also, the AAPA’s Division on Women seeks proposals related to Asian American women for consideration for the DoW sponsored travel awards.

Proposals received before March 24, 2003 will be considered. Main presenter/contact person will be notified by April 21, 2003.
