This seminar will examine the use of multimedia software and hardware. Students will produce multimedia presentations using Inspiration™, PowerPoint™, PhotoShop Elements™ 3, iMovie™ 6 HD, iDVD™, Adobe Acrobat™, as well as other multimedia software tools. Students will use digital cameras and camcorders and video editing software to produce an array of still and moving images for use in multimedia presentations. Students will learn principles of good design and evaluate a number of multimedia presentations in terms of design.

As a Final Project, students will design and produce their own individualized CD ROMs that will be electronic portfolios that showcases students' views on using technology in education, their multimedia skills and productions, their resumes in PDF format, and any other electronic documents that students wish to include in their portfolios.

Prerequisites include EDT 545 and previous computer experience.
