Useful Multimedia Resources
These are great sites that I use (or will use in the near future) on my school's webpage or my own. There is a lot of genius and talent in cyberspace.

Please read each site's copyright and usage policy before downloading any images. Some are designated exclusively for webpages. Some have no strings attached.

These sites require a "credits link" on your website back to their page:

Windy's Fashionable Page Design -- full of backgrounds and instructions on how to make border backgrounds work in html.
Just Jane Graphics -- very nice lines and graphics for teachers or school web pages
Dana's Designs -- filled with gold and silver lines, bars, graphics. Very elegant/sophisticated
Kristinia's Graphics -- very good graphics (by a 14-year-old no less)
Flags of the World and flags of all the states, and historical flags, and lots of other flags.
GraphiX Junction -- good variety available
These sites do not require a "credit link" back to their page and some do not specify use:

Mccannas.com -- free clip art,tutorials, & 911 Photoshop Tips!...very well-organized site!
The ClipArt Connection -- lots of advertising and frames so takes a long time to load but has fun graphics
Surfdoggy's ClipArt & Icons -- could not find any restrictions on use, smaller site but some good animations
Multimedia HyperArchive -- lots of clipart, sound files, animations, utilities, most everything
Netscape Background Sampler -- just part of Netscape's site
Astronomical pictures and animations -- They boast 6 gigabytes of space dedicated to space.
Media Link -- lots of animations, "movies", free clipart, and tutorials. Lots of links to artists also.
Historical ClipArt -- a lot of historical trains, cars, buildings, people...can be used for a variety of purposes...some credit asked with certain uses
The Humble Bee -- lots of free clip art...requests link...I liked the borders particularly
Clip Art Galleries -- some truly beautiful art and some truly strange
Clip Art Universe -- requests (but not requires) a link...lots of animated gifs
Andy's Art Attack -- lots of stuff for sale but tons of great free images too
The Skull - Home of the Horizontal Rule -- Forget the name. There are a lot of great rules here...plain and animated
AGAG: Animated Gif Artists Guild -- tutorials on making your own animated gifs, lots of links to artists offering animations
Scuba Mom Animations -- very good animations
Web Pro Group -- requests a link, some backgrounds and graphics, good tutorial on PaintShop Pro (shareware), lots of links, unfortunately lots of advertising too.
Barry's Clip Art Server -- says a credit link would be nice, lots of clip art, and other information about using it

Extra Site... Ascii Pictures -- This site is kind of cutesy, but there is nothing on here that kids at school couldn't view. It also allows you to download some freeware to make your own.
