Introduction

Do you like sports? Have you ever watched a sports program in another language? How would you like to be a sportscaster? In this WebQuest you are going to find out what sports are like Spanish. Almost every sport you can think of is telecast or available through some type of media outlet in Spanish.

Task

You are a Sportscaster for a local SPANISH television station. You must find at least five different sporting events in SPANISH and prepare a newscast about each sport. You will use power point to describe the major highlights of the games or matches. You should list the equipment used in each sport as part of the presentation. You should have a minimum of 10 slides and a maximum of 20. Again the entire presentation must be in Spanish. The presentation should last three to five minutes.

 You must include the following:

Process

The Jobs:

All students must participate in all phases of the creation of the Sportscast:

 The Writer:

You are the writer. You are responsible for writing the presentation. You must use your other group members, the other members of the group should tell you what to write. All decisions should be made as a group.

 The Editor\Technical Support:

As the editor you are responsible for the quality of the presentation. Are all words and grammar used correctly? Use the other members of your group for quality control. As the technical support you need to assist the other students in power point. You should be familiar with technology and able to help others in your group.
