Mixing Colors
By: Robbin DeGruccio
Intro: Did you know that all colors are made from three
main colors? They are called the primary colors, and they are:
Task: We will learn how to mix the primary colors to make
three new colors. These colors are called secondary colors, and they are
orange, green and purple.

The final project will be to
use the primary colors to make secondary colors and use them all to paint a
picture.
Process:
1. The teacher will put
children into groups of three.
2. Each of the children will
be assigned a job:
One
will be in control of the computer and mouse
Another
will be the observer of important information
The
last will write or draw what the group has learned
3. The children will then
work together on the links below:
4. When children are finished
looking at links, all of them must individually use the knowledge they just
learned to paint a picture.

Conclusion:
At the end of this WebQuest we will have an art show. All the children will display their final projects, which will include a sentence or so describing how they made the colors and decided to use them in their picture.
Reflection:
In your
reflection notebook, write down things that worked with the WebQuest and things
that needed improvement. Ask yourself questions such as these: Did the children
work well in groups? Did they have trouble reading anything that affected their
understanding? Etc.
