School is out! Summer has begun. Dad is trying to decide where to go for vacation. He can't make up his mind so he wants you and your siblings to choose. The problem is you all want to go somewhere different. What are you going to do? You have to convince Dad that your location is the best location. Good luck! |

Your job is to decide which place you want to go and research that location. With the information you will prepare a PowerPoint presentation that will convince your father into choosing your location for the trip. You will find information researching the links I have provided. |
1. Divide into groups of 2. Group members will share all responsibilities. 2. Choose from one of the four locations below. 3. Click on the location name and explore the links provided. 4. Investigate to find answers to the following questions. A. From your city, how far is the location? 5. Choose one of the locations and research links:
6. Create a PowerPoint presentation including the information gathered. 7. Share presentation with your class. |

* Collect pictures taken on one of your family vacations. Scan the pictures and find additional photos from the Internet. Using Hyperstudio or iMovie, create a slide show of family pictures. Present your photo slide show to your class. * Combine facts from all four vacation spots to contrast and compare. Make graghs and charts to show differences and similarities. I recommend using Microsoft Excel. |
* This WebQuest should take about 2-3 weeks to complete. * If PowerPoint or Hyperstudio is not available, have students use large poster boards to show during presentations. Include pictures and maps. |
