I use this as a reference for myself. It covers from prehistoric times to the present. It also has other on-line reference books hat I use quite often.

I try to bring in Mexico to my lessons to add relevancy. This site let kids show me where they are from or we can figure it out together. Many times my kids don’t know what towns they go to in Mexico or how far it is so this is a good way for them to learn map reading skills.

I love this site. It shows images from the Hubble Space Telescope. The educational opportunities are endless. They have a huge archive of images and each one is explained by an Astronomer. It has hyper linked text to fill in background information.
