This site is very interesting. It uses images from the Landsat-7 satellite from an artistic perspective. You can choose the area on the planet you want to see.

Maps Of Mexico

I try to bring in Mexico to my lessons to add relevancy. This site let kids show me where they are from or we can figure it out together. Many times my kids don’t know what towns they go to in Mexico or how far it is so this is a good way for them to learn map reading skills.

I love this site. It shows images from the Hubble Space Telescope. The educational opportunities are endless. They have a huge archive of images and each one is explained by an Astronomer. It has hyper linked text to fill in background information.
