The Mac Tutor History of Mathematics Archive lists recent articles on mathematics education.  It also provides information on topics such as the history of zero, teaching in certain time periods (i. e. ancient Rome or Britain in the 19th Century), and biographies of famous mathematicians and scientists.

It is part of an on-going project by students in mathematics classes at Agnes Scott College, in Atlanta, Georgia, to illustrate the numerous achievements of women in the field of mathematics. The interactive programs can be manipulated and there is a lot of animation that helps students to grasp the meaning of various mathematical ideas, such as: the derivatives of z2, z3, z4, and ex, finding the value of a root using Newton’s Method, and calculating the limit of log(x + 1)/x and (ex – 1)/x.
