OTHER MATH SITES
A resource
place for elementary school students to ask questions and
get answers about different math topics. This is a
lesson in expected value for children who love to buy the
box of cereal that has the coolest prize. How much does that
prize really cost? A Lesson in Expected Value. How many
boxes of cereal would you expect to have to buy, to get all
six prizes? This site has
biographical information about women in math. Students can
pull up the data on a particular mathematician and get other
information such as where the mathematician worked. This a
good place for referring girls to do research about careers
in math. Clever
Games for Clever People A collection
of explanations for several math games. The explanations
proceed in step by step sequence with accompanying pictures.
The games are intended to help kids begin developing a
deeper understanding of math through play.

resource page that has hyperlinks to various cool sites
intended for children. All of the sites on this page are
related to the solar system. Many of the links go to NASA
sites. These are excellent resources for finding
pictures. This site
allows the user to look up photos of each of the planets
taken by different spacecraft and telescopes. A lot of
information about the sun includes photos, links and a lot
of information categorized by topic. This is a
website devoted to teaching people about light. The site
includes an outline of topics and is sequential in its
design. It is designed to be used as a tutorial. A good site
for students and teachers! This is a
collection of space resources for children. It includes the
history of the telescope, information about galaxies and
many other links. This site requires some prior exploration
by the teacher.

ENVIRONMENTAL
PAGES This is a
great place for your students to learn online about
recycling. It is interactive and allows the students to pick
the places they want to go and what they want to learn
about. It is very visually appealing, user friendly and
includes lots of information. This is a
collection of links related to environmental topics. This is
perfect for teachers who are looking for resources to help
their teaching of environmental topics in the classroom.
Many of the sites are suitable for students to look at
photos and look for more information, but they need to be
previewed and bookmarked by the teacher.
