Reason: This lesson plan takes a tricky math concept and makes it understandable and useable with technology. Transformations are in our state standards. Geometer’s Sketchpad is fun and it’s nice to find a lesson plan already created for it. Finally, you have to love a lesson plan that uses the term “blob” throughout.

Reason: This lesson plan takes a reasonably easy math concept and makes it interesting with technology. The statistics concepts that are investigated are very important and are in our state standards. The proper use of Microsoft Excel is also important.
