International Olympic Committee

This is a great site for information about the things that the Olympic Committee works on, also a good site for recent Olympic games. The navigation around the site became confusing at times and many of the pages took forever to load. The Athens 2004 site came up in Greek? I think, after trying about five or six links I finally found the one that brought up the site in English. After that the page was pretty interesting.

PE Central

This is a great site for P. E. teachers and students, the graphics are good and don't take away from the content. However, it took for ever to download and had I been looking for specific information I would have moved on.

Franklin Institute - Healthy Heart

This site is very informative for anyone doing a unit on the heart. It can be a little slow because of all the animated graphics. Every page has a least one animated heart beating. All the graphics are pertinent to the information, I did have trouble viewing the movie on heart surgery. Some of the links need to be updated because they would not open any pages.

Health Physical Education and Recreation Web Page

This is the Physical Education Departments home page for Briar-Cliff College. There are no graphics and very little color variations. Basically it is an all information page. There is a page for the Department and it lists all requirements for Majors and another page the lists the Professors favorite links. Easy to navigate and quick loading.

WWW Women's Sports Page

This page is an index to links for Women and Girls in sports around the WWW. There are no graphics however some color was added by using colorful buttons. It was easy to navigate back and forth through the links.

American Council on Exercise ACE

This site was very informative and super easy to navigate. The use of the red, white, and blue color scheme made it really easy to read. The use of graphics was minimal, and the site load quickly.

American Association for Health, Physical Education , Recreation, and Dance AAHPERD

This is the Web site for our national P. E. organization. It took forever to download, if I was a new member and needed information I don't know if I would be patient enough to wait for all the pages. The site had 21 pictures on the Home page, and that took forever. After the site loads, it is very informative and fairly easy to navigate around.

Physical Education Lesson Plans

This site uploaded fast and was the most organized site I looked at. The links were organized by activity and packed with information. I definitely will be going to this site for new activities to use in my classes. The pages were not cluttered with needless graphics and the colors were all consistent throughout the pages.

Teaching Ideas for Primary Teachers

As an Elementary teacher I found this site to be full of information for every subject area. It was fast and easy to navigate around. The site was organized and easy to follow. At the end of the Home Page there is a section where you can use the author's icon and add it to your Web Page for a direct link to this page. I haven't seen that in other pages before.

Ayden Elementary School PE

This site was a link in the Physical Education Lesson Plan Page. It had everything imaginable for a Physical Educators. The download was quick and easy, and the site was easy to navigate through. This site has been bookmarked and will be used alot in the future.
