Buckman School Post Card Project There have been recent connection problems to this site but it is worth trying several times. This project took place over summer vacation and subsequent fall semester. Each student was to write postcards to the class from wherever they went over the summer. When classes resumed the postcards were shared with the whole class and served as a resource for a number of subjects. The postcards were scanned and placed on the web. |

Maryland Projects The site introduction says it best, "This project was created by Mrs. Friedman's fourth grade class. After the students had done research on their assigned Maryland Counties in the classroom, they created an illustration (patch) in Art Class with the assistance of the Art Teacher, Mrs. Sandler. Next, these patches were scanned in the Computer Lab under the guidance of the Computer Teacher, Mrs. Glick. Finally, the students used Hyperstudio to make a stack about the Counties of Maryland. The final project is a quilt illustrating all 23 Counties of Maryland." |
