Our Freshman Experience Web Site

CSE 180 is a computer literacy course for freshmen.  In this class, we learned advanced word processing, PowerPoint, web page design, spreadsheets, and more.  Our professor, Dr. Alice Christie, proposed that we create a Web Site on the Freshman Experience.  We accepted her challenge and sent our surveys to the administration, faculty members, staff, and freshmen asking their opinions of first semester with freshmen at ASU West. We also conducted interviews with several people across campus.

We have included the results of these surveys and interviews. In addition, we have included one of our class projects: What is an Educated Person. Each of us asked 10 to 15 people outside of school what they thought it meant to be an educated person and we have compiled the results.

We have also included a page about each of the authors along with their pictures and their role in the completion of this Freshman Experience Web Site.

Provost Elaine Maimon visited Dr. Christie's CSE 180 on Wednesday, November 21. She chatted with all students to learn about their parts in the Freshman Experience Web Site. She also spoke to the class about the history and process of making ASU West a four-year university and answered students' questions.
