After sending administrators a survey to discover their perceptions about the first freshman class, we graphed the survey results using Microsoft Excel. We also recorded their responses to open-ended questions. On this page, we share administrators' perceptions from our survey.
Administrators Administrators
were very surprised about how highly motivated
freshman students were. They were also
happily surprised by the intellectual abilities of
the new freshmen. Our biggest
concern about becoming a four year university was
making sure ASU West offered a welcoming
environment. Since over 90% of our freshman are
returning next semester, we feel very positive
about our first steps toward making this a truly
comprehensive four-year university. Learning
communities have created small, comfortable groups
of people who are getting to know each other.
Learning communities have help students transition
to the university. You will always
be our first-class First Class! |
