The majority of
the CSE 180 class believes that having a higher
education (education beyond high school) and real
world knowledge describes an educated
person. A total of 64% of
us believe having a higher education and real world
knowledge makes an educated person. So obviously,
most of us believe that you should attend college
or some institution of learning after high school
to become more educated. When we polled
our friends and family members, we found some
similar results. The largest number of people
believe higher education was the key to being an
educated person. But close behind higher education
was broad experiences and real world
knowledge. Just as in the
survey of class members, open-mindedness and being
self-taught received the fewest votes. We conclude
that we, our friends, and family all value higher
education. This is not surprising, as all of us
have chosen to become freshmen at ASU West
this year. |
