Chad

The birthplace was Utah, in a small county by the name of Price. The snow was falling and the time was 4:32 am. This is when I came into this world. The first year of my life was spent in Price, all of which I do not remember. My dad had received a transfer which had are family of six move to Arizona. The family includes my mother, father, two sisters, one brother and me, Chad being the youngest of them all.

After we had settled in to our new home in Phoenix we stayed for nine years. Then my dad received another transfer to the wonderful state of Colorado. It was there where I became truly happy. I had a best friend by the name of Ross who is reason enough to get up in the morning. Obviously I didn't want to make the move at first because I was eleven-year-old boy who already had friends and didn't want to make new friends. As you can see the happiness did not come until I met Ross. We met in the seventh grade in a drama class and we were assigned to act out a scene from Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. We spent most of our time playing video games and making one another laugh. The laughter soon grew to tears when my family had to move back to Phoenix. I was in the eighth grade and had just spent three of the most precious years of my life in Colorado but kids have no say in where they move so off we went back to Phoenix.

I attended high school at Mountain Ridge and in my freshman year I soon learned that my love for sports would die when I undeservedly got cut from the basketball team. I had no special interest any more until I took a guitar class to pick up a fine arts credit. This is the place where I met my now bandmate. His name was Ryan and although he was a freshman and I was a junior we had a special connection for music. We started to play more and more and during this past summer in my distant dreams we began to record a CD, which should hopefully be completed in September. Playing the guitar and writing the lyrics to form a song is my passion for breathing now.

I am attending ASU West to take the more logical way of living because college is needed for the future. My dream would be to perform for people and make them feel what I feel and be able to support my future family but with this being highly unlikely I will continue to pursue college.

My Role in The Freshman Experience Web Site

I have contributed as the digital photographer. I have taken pictures of students and the work they have done for this project.
