Jesse

Where should I start? I was born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1983. When I was three, my sister, my mom and I moved to Bowie, Maryland. The three of us lived with my grandma while my mother went to college. She raised two children, had a full time job, and was a full time college student. Somehow she survived. My mother graduated from the University of Maryland. The following year she remarried a man in the Air Force, and we moved to Arizona. I was in the third grade. Three years later it was the three of us again.

I attended Desert Palms Elementary, and then Ironwood High School. I was an Eagles' cheerleader for three year. I graduated in 2001 and decided to attend U of A. At the last minute my mother and I chose ASU West. I can now say I am excited to be here.

My grandmother placed me in dance classes when I was three. My mom and grandmother supported me when I decided to make dance my life. I take ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and pointe. Dance is my love and my passion. I am a dance teacher at Langham Dance and Acrobatic Center. I am a business major so that I may someday run my own dance studio.

Last, my favorite color is blue, my favorite food is hot dogs, and my favorite hobby is dance. I am very close to my family, and love my cat, Honey, and my dog, Buddy. This is my life in a nutshell.

My Role in The Freshman Experience Web Site

In this project I am a survey creator. Traci, Ashley, Tony, and I created surveys for the students, faculty, staff, and administration. The surveys were to find out their viewpoints on the freshmen. We asked their opinions on classes, and what they believed the abilities of the freshmen were.
