not transport persons who are not currently employed or enrolled with the university.
Know and understand that no accident/medical coverage is provided for any person not currently enrolled or employed by the university while traveling with someone on university business.
comply with all traffic laws.
accept responsibility for any citation issued during the time the vehicle is in his/her possession.
The Department
The department requesting the vehicle must:
Bear responsibility for any damage. Damages will be billed directly to the department for the vehicle
at the time the damage occurs.
Pay a penalty of one-day rental fee, over and above regular rates, if the vehicle is not returned at the agreed time.
Pay a penalty of a 1-day rental fee, if the vehicle is not picked up.
Pay a penalty of a 1-day rental fee, if a cancellation is not made prior to the departure time.

ASU's West campus vehicles are insured by State Risk Management.
In the event of an accident or theft involving a state vehicle,
contact ASU West DPS (602) 543-3456 and Fleet Services (602) 543-7720
immediately.
The following guidelines apply to all ASU state-owned vehicles:
Bodily injury, liability, and property damage insurance cover state vehicles.
Vehicles are covered by insurance only while driven on official state business.
No “medical payments” coverage is provided for passengers not employed by or currently enrolled with the University.
Authorized drivers of state-owned vehicles are not required to provide evidence of insurance in Arizona. Details can be obtained by calling the Environmental Health and Safety (602 965 7739.)
Each vehicle is issued a Voyager Fleet Card for the purpose of purchasing fuel. Specific instructions on how
to use this card is given to the driver at the time of the rental. Please turn in the receipts with the keys

card is located in the key wallet.
The use of vans with a capacity of 10 to 15 occupants is prohibited from use on ASU business in
compliance with policy EHS 108-03. Vans and sports utility vehicles (SUVs) with an occupancy of
nine or less are permitted for ASU business. Individuals who operate any vehicle that holds 8 or 9
people (passengers and driver) must attend either "Defensive Driver" or "Off-Road Driving" training
held on the ASU Tempe campus. Minibuses with a capacity of 15 or less are permitted and operators of
this type of vehicle must also attend the "Defensive Driver" or "Off-Road Driving" training regardless
of how many passengers will be in the van.
