6. Red Oleander APOCYNACEAE Medium to large shrub that grows 8-10 ft. high and as wide. Long pointed leaves that are medium green. Showy flowers in mid-spring through summer. Widely adapted including very dry areas. Tolerates heat, aridity, sun, wind, and extended periods of drought. They develop into mounding shrubs or can be clipped as hedges. Can be pruned as single or multiple trunk trees for use in patios, courtyards and parking lot planters. Location: Front entry on Thunderbird road. |
