The Employee Recognition Program reinforces ASU's
culture and supports its objectives. This program promotes and perpetuates
our shared values of creative expression, continuous improvement,
peer recognition, innovation, individual excellence, collaboration
across departments and disciplines, use-inspired outcomes, social
embeddedness, and community spirit.
These awards and celebrations provide the University and employees
with opportunities to recognize and celebrate the commitment and contributions
of ASU employees.
The Sun Devil Award for Service recognizes all employees
(classified, administrative staff, academic and service professionals,
and faculty) for continued commitment to ASU as demonstrated by the
passage of each 5 - year increment of employment, and upon retirement.
Those who complete a minimum of 20 years of service may choose a pin
or select from a variety of personalized ASU gifts with increasing
value for each additional 5 years of employment.
Online electronic SUN Award certificate via e-mail at: http://recognition.west.asu.edu/SUN, and the ability for the submitter to also print the completed certificate and present it to the recipient face-to-face.
When the SUN Award is presented electronically, a copy is immediately sent to Human Resources. When the paper SUN Award certificate is presented, the yellow carbon should be returned to Human Resources (MC: 2051) by December 31st. All SUN Award recipients received by December 31st will be entered in a contest for prizes at the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Program in the spring.
Campus-wide Faculty and Staff Appreciation Program
In recognition and appreciation of the many ways
that ASU at the West campus faculty and staff serve the University and the greater
community, a fun-filled afternoon with food, entertainment, prize drawings,
activities, and much more is held annually.

research at ASU's West campus and demonstrates the value placed on research
that contributes to the educational experience of students.
Award of Achievement in Teaching
The ASU at the West campus Faculty and Academic Professional Achievement
Award for Teaching recognizes exceptional teaching at ASU's West campus and
demonstrates the value placed on teaching, as it is integrated with
scholarship and service.
Award of Achievement in Service
The ASU at the West campus Faculty and Academic Professional Achievement
Award for Service recognizes exceptional contributions that enhance
the ASU at the West campus community and/or larger community and demonstrates the
commitment to service that supports the educational and research missions.

EXCELLENCE IN DIVERSITY AWARD - 2007
The Campus Environment Team Excellence in Diversity
Award is presented annually to an individual or group demonstrating
exceptional service in the area of cultural diversity.
The President's Award for Innovation recognizes ASU individual employees
or teams for innovations that improve the educational, administrative, or other organizational
processes through creative approaches. The innovation may be an initiative, program, project,
or technique. Only innovations that have been implemented and have demonstrated sustained
positive results will be considered for the award.
The Outstanding Commitment to Students Award is
presented annually by Student Affairs to recognize ASU at the West campus faculty,
staff, administrators and students for their extraordinary commitment
to the development or support of students at ASU at the West campus.
The Classified Staff Council West Award is presented
by the Classified Staff Council West to honor an individual, group
or organizational unit demonstrating exceptional commitment and service
in promoting and advancing interests of classified staff.
