Welcome! In this tutorial, you will learn the basics of copyright and fair use and their applications in the K-12 classroom. The objectives of this tutorial are:
This tutorial has three parts. First, you will read a document that outlines the guidelines for fair use in the classroom for various types of materials. You will then read a document that outlines the four tenets that determine fair use. After reading the documents, you will view a short video that illustrates how common situations that involve a judgement about fair use and copyright should be handled. Finally, you will take a short quiz to assess your knowledge of copyright and fair use in the classroom.
