Drug Use Among Adults Arrested by the Mesa, Arizona Police Department

Results from Maricopa County/Phoenix, Arizona’s Arrestee Drug Abuse Monitoring (ADAM) Program show that female adults arrested by the Mesa Police Department are substantially more likely to test positive for drug use than males. Specifically, females are more likely to test positive for cocaine, methamphetamine, opiates and multiple drug use. Male arrestees in Maricopa County are more likely to test positive for marijuana when compared to female arrestees.
