Drug Use Among Adults Arrested in Maricopa County

Results from Maricopa County/Phoenix, Arizona’s Arrestee Drug Abuse Monitoring (ADAM) Program show that female adult arrestees are more likely to test positive for drug use than males.  Specifically, females are more likely to test positive for cocaine, methamphetamine, opiates and any drug use.  Male arrestees in Maricopa County are more likely to test positive for marijuana when compared to female arrestees.  Multiple drug use is fairly consistent among both male and female arrestees.
