Arresting Agencies
Table 3.3 presents overall urinalysis results by arresting agency in both Maricopa and Pima Counties. In Maricopa County marijuana use was most frequently detected among Chandler Police Department arrestees and least frequently detected among Department of Public Safety and Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department arrestees. Cocaine and opiates were detected most often among Phoenix Police Department arrestees and least often among Scottsdale Police Department arrestees. Methamphetamine was most prevalent among Scottsdale, Mesa, and Glendale Police Department arrestees and least often among Department of Public Safety arrestees.
In Pima County, marijuana, cocaine, and opiates were found
most often among Tucson Police Department arrestees. Drug usage was fairly
similar among arrestees from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and Department
of Public Safety except for methamphetamine. Methamphetamine usage was most
frequently detected among Department of Public Safety arrestees and least
frequently among Tucson Police Department arrestees.
