It is also useful to examine drug use for particular types of arrestees within each county. Specifically, the next sections present the level of drug use among arrestees by types of charges. Examining drug usage by offense type provides some insight into the relationship between crime and drug use and can help officers better understand what types of drugs they are likely to encounter when confronting potential arrestees.
