10 Tips for Dressing Well for a Speech 

1. Make sure your clothes fit.
2. Always look clean and neat.
3. Keep ultra bright colors away from face.
4. Do not wear large costume jewelry.
5. Seek to dress just a little above the level of the audience.
6. Wear what is comfortable to you.
7. Wear clothing that gives you confidence.
8. It is better to wear clothes that cover too much than clothes that do not cover enough.
9. Make sure your hair is clean, neat and professionally styled. Avoid styles that cover over more than your forehead or one that you have to brush back.
10. Remove facial and body piercing other than single ear jewelry; Visible tattoos should be covered to avoid distraction.
