Introducing Yourself or a Speaker 

  1. Introduce yourself by saying your full name and then your organization
  2. Make good eye contact and smile
  3. Reintroduce yourself even if you have already been introduced
  4. Introduce another speaker by giving the correct pronunciation of the person’s first and last name, giving the title of the speech, and also explaining the benefits gained from the speech to give the speaker credibility
  5. Introduce a client before introducing yourself (while smiling and maintaining eye contact) and mention his/her first and last name along with the person’s title and organization
  6. Do not use first names of a person in a higher position, of someone who is older, or in a professional situation
  7. Make sure you remove gloves and sunglasses before shaking hands
  8. Shake hands (firmly but not hurtful) when greeting, saying goodbye, or meeting people
  9. When shaking, make the motion from the elbow and not the shoulder, and make this movement only a couple of times
  10. Maintain eye contact while shaking hands
