Telling the Story of the Working Poor

Greg Halpern grew up in Buffalo, New York. After graduating from
Harvard University, he spent three years working on a campaign
to convince Harvard to pay its service workers a "Living Wage."
In the process, he photographed and interviewed hundreds of the
school's workers, which are now compiled in his book, Harvard
Works Because We Do.
