Adaptive Technology Training

DRC enrolled or prospective students will now be able to receive hands-on, one-on-one training from a live person in order to learn about a technology that could be helpful to you in your studies.

For example, did you know that we have technology that will...

...read the computer screen to you?
...magnify a computer screen or hard copy so you can easily read it visually?
...scan your textbooks, save your data to a disk, and read the text to you?
...allow you to speak into a microphone and have the computer type your words for you?

Before you can have Adaptive Technology delivered to your class you must have completed an adaptive technology training session.

Adaptive Technology training is available for:

AlphaSmart Pro Keyboard
CCTV (closed circuit television)
Clarity Deskmate
Dragon Naturally Speaking
E-Text Reader
FM Listening System
Kurzweil 3000
MAGic
Olympia Video Magnifier
Text-to-Audio
