The Disability Resource Center offers assistance and guidance to students, staff, faculty or community members seeking disability-related information, resources, or referrals to campus or community services. The DRC offers the following direct resources:

  • Over 200 resource files covering disability-related information
  • Reference books
  • Current periodicals
  • Video tapes
  • Temporary disabled parking passes
  • Learning disability screening and referral for additional testing
  • Referral to the TRiO Academic Achievement Center

  • General Dynamics Land Systems Summer Internship Program - Key components of the program include the following:
    • Candidates must have attained Junior status (completed Sophomore requirements)
    • Candidates must currently be attending a university or college
    • Candidates must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
    • Every submitted resume must include student status (Junior or Senior), overall GPA and estimated date of graduation
    • Selected students must provide an original transcript before their first day of employment.
    • In order to be considered for the 2008 Summer Internship Program, all resumes must be submitted on the GDLS web site. Students must select Careers (click ok), under Location select "Sterling Heights", then under Employment Type select "Intern". Students can view all Summer Intern requisitions and post their resumes to the applicable job(s). The above steps must be followed in order to be considered for summer employment.
  • Heath Resource Center
  • HEATH's annual revision of this popular resource guide is now available. The 2007 edition contains completely updated and revised information to help individuals with disabilities to seek and obtain financial assistance for postsecondary education. The guide describes federal financial aid programs, state vocational rehabilitation services, and regional and local sources. A listing of nationally awarded grants and a pre-college checklist to organize the search for funds complete the guide.
