Electives

Fifteen elective hours (5 courses) can be selected from a list of approved courses offered by other departments within the New College of  Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, including: Language, Cultures & History, Integrative Studies, Interdisciplinary Arts and Performance, Integrated Natural Sciences, Politics, Psychology, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Women’s Studies.  Students also have the opportunity to apply relevant coursework from other colleges at ASU's West campus (as well as other ASU campuses) upon college advisor approval.  It is recommended that the electives be selected during consultation with the Ethnic Studies Program Coordinator.  For a current list of approved elective courses, call the Ethnicity, Race, and First Nations Studies program office at 602-543-6007 or visit the course bank.
