Dr. Collins-Chobanian is an Associate Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Integrative Studies, and an affiliated professor in the Ethnicity, Race, and First Nations Studies program at Arizona State University West.  Collins-Chobanian is included in the forthcoming International Biographical Centre’s 2000 Outstanding Academics of the 21st Century.  She is the co-editor of four editions of Applied Ethics:  A Multicultural Approach, a bestseller, and the first text of its kind in the field of applied ethics. She is also editor of Ethical Challenges to Business as Usual, published byPrentice Hall in 2005. 

Collins-Chobanian has published on environmental rights, environmental labels, and environmental racism as it impacts American-Indians.  Her research areas include environmental ethics, especially environmental racism, environmental justice, environmental rights, and sustainable agriculture; business ethics, especially regarding consumer labeling and transgenic biotechnology; and, discrimination in the criminal justice system.  

Professor Collins-Chobanian teaches courses from Introduction to Philosophy 101 to MAS 511, a graduate course in philosophy of technology, and she developed the first environmental ethics course at ASU's West campus.
