Ni
Hao!
While these two Chinese words could be spoken
quizzically and mean "you (are) well?," the greeting can also be an
emphatic statement/salutation/benison positively affirming that "you
(are/hopefully are/ought to be) well!" So, indeed, may it be with all the
gentle readers whose wanderings have brought them hither.
My mission may perhaps be your further wanderings, though hopefully with good
purpose and personal profit, especially in terms of your sound learning and
subsequent career.
Having been raised here but from a divergent culture, and having sustained
diverse similar interests during study, work, and marriage, I am deeply
persuaded that in our inexorably global realities of today and tomorrow, there
is no room for isolation, or for ignorance.
Horace Mann today, doubtlessly, would tell any eager young man or woman, out
to seek their fortune and their fulfillment: go global!
I am delighted to join Dr. Anders and the faculty and staff of the Arizona
State University School of Management in this Institute to aid as many of you as
may desire to heed good advice and to broaden your personal understanding, your
mental perspectives, your emotional insights, and your cultural sensitivities by
educational travel and by associated other programs and options we are
developing to meet your needs.
As you consider the possibilities, and have questions or need information,
please call me!
