Scheduling a Classroom for a Meeting or Event

IT welcomes your use of the technology in classrooms during meetings and events. In general, we expect that you can use what's there without making any special arrangements except for reserving the room. If you do need special equipment for your meeting or event, arrange for this through Event & Meeting Services.

Computer Classroom Use by University and Not-for-Profit Organizations

To book a Category I or II event that will need computer software that is not already installed:

  • There must be at least 10 business days between the request and the proposed event.
  • IT must agree that we can support the event. To get this agreement, you must provide Event and Meeting Services with the name, phone, and e-mail (if available) of a person who can discuss technical requirements. IT will contact the identified person, and notify Events and Meeting Services within 2 business days whether to proceed with the booking.

Computer Classroom Use by For-Profit Organizations

Category III events will not be booked into the computer classrooms if they involve a need to install software or hardware. Access to the Internet is available for Category III events, but write access to servers is not available.
