Classroom Equipment Use Instructions

Amplifiers - Use the amplifier to control the sound level in the room.

Apple Remote Desktop (ARD)- Use ARD in the Macintosh computer classrooms to control what is displayed on the projection screen and on student screens -- and to do many other things to manage the classroom.

Computer - You will need to log in with your ASURITE UserID to use the classroom computer(s). If you do not have an ASURITE UserID, you can log in as "WESTGUEST" with a password of "asuwest".

Lights - In all classrooms that have projectors you can adjust the lighting so that the projected image is visible and the students can also see to take notes.

NetOp School - Use NetOp School in the Windows computer classrooms to control what is displayed on the projection screen and on student screens -- and to do many other things to manage the classroom.

Overhead (transparency) projector - Be sure you turn off the projector before switching to the spare lamp!

Projection screen - Some classrooms have projection screens that can be mechanically lowered and raised.

Projectors (ceiling-mounted) - Use the projector to display video from computer, VCR, DVD, and TV, teleconferencing, and satellite video network. Also use the projector remote as a laser pointer.

VCR and DVD - All classrooms have a VHS VCR, and most have DVD players and associated software in the computer. If you need a "stand-alone" DVD player, you will generally need to have it delivered.
