NetOp School: Classroom Management in the Computer Classrooms

Computer classrooms on ASU's West campus have a station for the instructor and stations for students.

All Windows OS computer classroom instructor stations have NetOp School TEACHER module installed, and all student stations have the STUDENT module running.

To use NetOp School, simply go to the Start Menu and choose:
Start/Programs/NetOp School/Teacher

Once configured for your UserID, NetOp will save your settings at this station. If NetOp School does not have a profile for you,  a setup wizard will pop up for your profile in this room.

First-Time Setup (or reset after machine has been reimaged)::

  • Enter the name of the computer classroom room you are in to attach to the student machines. For example:
    CLCC204
(remember there is no space between building and room)
  • Choose manage by computer name
  • Choose TCP/IP for connection protocol
  • Do not register software

NetOp School should now automatically select the student workstations in your classroom whenever you enter the program.
