Human - Computer Interaction (HCI)
HCI-Sites
This page is maintained by a Special Interest Group of ACM (Association
Computing Machinery), and contains over 500 links to many categories of
HCI sites. The organization is based on categories from the HCI Bibliography,
a free-access online database on Human-Computer Interaction.
HCI applied to library web interfaces
Gary Perlman is a consulting
research scientist at OCLC where he works on web-based user interfaces
to bibliographic and full-text databases. He works primarily with
OCLC's web-based FirstSearch® (Try
the Demo!), for which he has helped add front-end search features,
internationalization, and backend efficiency. He is also a steady
contributor to the HCI field and a frequent conference speaker.
