Mexico in Arizona

The Mexican culture is very
visible throughout the different areas of Phoenix and many other places
in the US. Different aspects of the culture are represented by religious
figures, art, music, vibrant colors, food, sports (in particular
soccer), piņatas, and carnicerias. All
these elements are brought into the US by many migrants who have left
their country of origin to migrate to the United States. Also, being so
close to the Mexico-US border,
these
aspects of the Mexican culture are more noticeable. By having these
cultural aspects throughout the city, newer generations of
immigrants
can adjust better to the
change and at the same time they
contribute to the cultural diversity in the U.S.
