My
Bio
Hey Y'all!
My name is Amy
McCoy
and I moved to Arizona in November 2005 from Jackson, Mississippi
shortly after Hurricane Katrina. I was raised in Philadelphia, MS
and I attended Millsaps College in Jackson for four years. I decided
to get my last two credit hours at ASU. My major is Sociology and
Anthropology with a minor in Faith and Work. My focus in
anthropology was primarily archaeology. I went to Yucatan, Mexico
for two summers and did Mayan Archaeology at a small site called
Kaxil Kiuic. Last summer I had a job in St. Thomas (USVI)
working on a Taino Indian project. I have also worked on
archaeological projects in Mississippi, Louisiana and Virginia. I
love to travel and have been to England, Wales, France, Spain,
Germany, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland. I chose to major in
anthropology because I love new places, people, and ideas.
