My
name is Cynthia Rodriguez. I was born and raised in Phoenix , Az
however, both of my parents migrated from Mexico back in the 60's
and my brothers and I are the first generation born in the US.
I am a first generation college student at ASU WEST majoring in
Public Relations and Strategic Communications. Currently I am
employed by the Department of Homeland Security as a trainer. My
main role in this capacity is to train Immigration Customer Service
Reps on immigration laws and regulations. This
experience has help me become more aware of immigration issues that
our county, citizen and migrants face. As I result I have decided to
explore more opportunities in this field.
