| song bird psalm bird from your sky through the trees tumbling, tumbling like proud Icarus to the sea |
|
| farther down, far below taking aim the child sees where music falls in waterfalls honey jar with wings |
|
| a song bird a solemn bird somber though he sings humming to the ground with scarcely a sound the child scarcely breathes |
|
| to take the final aim no more, no more can there be song for the sake of song only the cold kiss of anonymity |
|
one shot |
|
as the song of the psalm bird |
|
drops the way winter drops |
