Rosemary Joganic

Although I'm a student at ASU West, my dream is to settle in the Italian countryside near Pisa. One of my favorite places is the Tower of Pisa and the surrounding countryside of Tuscany. The city of Florence is another favorite of mine, especially the Uffizi Gallery, which houses much of the spectacular art that can be found in this city.  

Pretty ambitious plan for someone who spent my first 21 years in the same house in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from the University of Florida, I joined the United States Air Force to see the world. I only saw Texas, California, and Illinois, though, not the exotic spots I would have liked. I did complete training as a nurse anesthetist and spent the next 14 years putting folks to sleep (and keeping them alive) in a variety of operating rooms. Now I'm studying literature, which is quite a switch from medicine.

Like my daughter Jessica, horses are also my hobby. My favorite part of riding is jumping. Recently, though, I've been concentrating more on the dressage aspects of equitation. A great place to watch the world's best riders is the Summer Olympics. An American, David O'Connor, took the Gold Medal in the individual three-day event during the 2000 Olympics.
