Ariadi (pseudonym) is an 18 year-old senior at Westview High School. As listed in DBI Part 1-B, Ariadi participates in general education for four of her classes and special education for two of her classes. Ariadi’s first language is Spanish. Ari has a specific learning disability. She has processing deficits in visual-spatial perception, social perception, auditory memory, and knowledge and use of words. Her academic deficits are in numerical operations and oral expression. Her learning style is multi-sensory and directions should be short and concise. She needs direct instruction in pragmatic language, social problem solving and development of social insight. Ariadi is outgoing, talkative and friendly.
