Enroll now for fall semester at ASU's West campus

Jun. 27, 2005

Day and evening classes still available

Fall semester classes begin Aug. 22 at Arizona State University. Enrolling early gives students a greater chance of getting the classes they want. At ASU’s West campus in northwest Phoenix, students may choose from among 30 bachelor’s degrees, 9 master’s degrees and 8 professional certificate programs. Both day and evening classes are offered.

The first step is to apply for admission to the university by calling (602) 543-WEST (9378), going online at www.west.asu.edu/gowest or visiting Admission and Registration Services at 4701 West Thunderbird Rd., Phoenix. The application fee for undergraduate students is $25 for Arizona residents and $50 for non-residents. The fee for graduate students is $50. Students will need high school and college transcripts, and verification of two MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) immunizations for admission and registration. Financial aid still is available.

“There are still a variety of class choices available to students,” said Tom Cabot, assistant dean, enrollment services. “Students are looking for choices, and the earlier they register, the better chance they have of getting classes they want.”

There are four colleges at ASU’s West campus, including the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, which offers bachelor degree programs in arts, humanities, social sciences and natural sciences, in addition to a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies.

The College of Human Services offers bachelor degree programs in communication studies, criminal justice and criminology, recreation and tourism management, and social work. In addition, there are three master’s degrees available in communication studies, criminal justice and social work. A certificate in gerontology also is available.

The College of Teacher Education and Leadership offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in elementary education, secondary education and special education, as well as a master’s degree in educational administration and supervision.

The School of Global Management and Leadership offers bachelor degree programs in accountancy and global business, and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA).
