Representatives from more than 50 volunteer organizations, including the American Red Cross, will present information about volunteering needs and opportunities at the 2005 Volunteer Fair at Arizona State University’s West campus, Tuesday, Sept. 6. The fair is designed to promote volunteerism and encourage community members, faculty, staff and students to become involved in service activities. Coordinated by the ASU Volunteer Services office at the West campus, the event is free, open to the public and will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Delph Courtyard of the University Center Building (UCB) on ASU’s West campus, “Our objective is to foster volunteerism in the university and community. By providing easy access to these volunteer organizations and information about their goals and needs, we are hoping to create an environment that encourages people to become involved,” says Pit Lucking, Volunteer Services coordinator.
