ASU gerontology program presents 2nd conference on aging

Arizona State University’s gerontology program will sponsor its second conference on aging, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28, at ASU’s West campus.

“This conference is geared toward the general public — whether older adults themselves or their adult children and grandchildren,” said Kathleen Waldron, lecturer in ASU’s College of Human Services. “The information presented will be valuable for those interested in financial planning, aging positively, retirement issues and caregiving."

The conference will consist of three break-out sessions, with three topics to choose from at each session. Among session topics are: normal aging vs. Alzheimer’s, living life to the fullest, long-term care, caregiving, changing relationships in retirement, dealing with the death of a spouse and hospice.

The conference will be held at ASU’s West campus, 4701 W. Thunderbird Road, Phoenix. Vendor tables featuring senior-related products and information will be available after the final presentation.
