Noted music ensemble performs March 31 at ASU's West campus
ASU’s West campus hosts Crossing 32nd Street, the Valley’s premier contemporary and experimental music ensemble, in concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 31, in Kiva Hall.
The ensemble performs a second concert in their series, “A 20th Century Retrospective: The American Experience,” featuring music by experimental American composers, this time concentrating mainly on the second half of the century. The group uses a wide variety of instrumental combinations and colors, and features some of the area’s finest musicians. The concert will include music by David Lang, Mario Davidovsky, Joan Tower, Aaron Jay Kernis, Court Lippe, and Terry Riley’s revolutionary classic, “In C.”
Tickets are $15 general, $10 seniors and $6 students, and may be purchased in advance at the West campus cashier’s office or via credit card by calling the Arts Information Line at 602-543-ARTS.
