Records & Registration Services Student ID (Sun Card)

The Sun Card is the official photo ID of the Arizona State University system. The card allows students to utilize services offered by the university libraries, dining, CopyExpress, and ASU's West campus Information Technology. Students are encouraged to obtain their student identification (ID) card upon admission. The ID card is activated when tuition and fees are paid. Information on how to add funds to your Sun Card can be obtained through the ASU's Tempe campus Sun Card office.

Steps to obtain a Sun Card at ASU's West campus:

  • Stop by Sun Card Office located in ASU's West campus Bookstore, UCB 140C.
  • Pay the $25 card fee by cash, check, Visa, or Mastercard.
  • Present a photo ID.

Sun Card Office Hours of Operation (UCB 140C):

Monday - Thursday, 9:00 am - 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Friday, 9:00 am - 2:30 pm
Saturday and Sunday, closed.

Replacement IDs

Replacement ID cards may be obtained for a $25 fee. Pay fee in Sun Card Office located in the Bookstore.

Faculty and Staff

Benefits eligible faculty and staff are issued their first Sun Card free of charge.
