The Standards Based Science Fair is a different way of doing science fairs. The focus is put on the student achieving inquiry standards rather than competing with other students. The approach was first implemented with Gavilan Peak School (Anthem, AZ) in May of 2004. In 2005 the program earned the A+ Project award in the State of Arizona.
